About Me

Welcome to the world of Eren! An Aspen, Colorado transplant who now calls New York City home. Daughter of the critically acclaimed architect, David Gibson, Eren has lived and traveled throughout the United States and Europe. Equestrian and skier, a graduate of Oberlin College, Eren is fluent in English, Italian, French and Spanish. She is a trained and experienced actress, comedienne, writer and now director. Eren was a finalist for MTV DJ search, considered numerous times as a hostess/spokeswomen for the Food Network and Discovery Channel, The Travel Channel and other networks. She has performed her one woman show and stand up in major comedy clubs and has run her own comedy room on the Upper West Side. Eren has also served New York City as a first-responder on 9-11 and as an Auxilary Mounted Patrol in Central Park. She rides horses whenever and wherever she can and digs around in the dirt and get's her hands dirty in her plot in the community garden. She supports other artists and attends functions and events, teaches part-time (foreign languages), practices the art of being a zealous amateur gourmet, does a lot of photography and most definitely tries not to miss a wine tasting or two with the gals. She makes jewelry in her spare time and lives on the Upper West Side in SoHa with her dog and cat.

Current Shows/Projects

Currently running is "Imagine Dat!" a one-man show about the life (afterlife) of show business icon Jimmy Durante that Eren is Directing and Co-producing. This production is well written and wonderfully performed by Jon Freda. With the reception "Imagine Dat!" has received it should have a long run in a venue that will bring Jimmy to life for audiences everywhere...Eren is very proud of this project.

"Cracking the Code," New York City's original 2 person film noir mystery/comedy is always looking for bookings and venues that are as unique as this show which features 11characters. Eren, with partner and fellow actor Jon Freda, Co-wrote, Co-Produces and Co-stars in this entertaining show.

- Eren is working on her new one woman show featuring herself (finally ) a host of multi-ethnic characters, portraying the dramas in her life both on stage and off; including white man dancing at C-Town, interracial & past the cusp dating, "No open box!" shopping in Chinatown, life on the subway and in a teepee, jumping out of a moving car in Naples, and avoiding getting shot by Hunter S. Thompson!

- There is also another one-woman show still in its very early stages where Eren will portray an icon and a star that not only has taken audiences to the stars but where no humankind (and even human kind has gone before)... you do the quantum math.

- Eren has always loved poetry and has gathered all the poetic musings of her mind on scraps of paper, napkins and gathered them together in a collection that she is working on for publication. Maybe these musings will leap off the pages (yes real pages) and inspire readers. Keep your fingers crossed.
